Wow. The prices on new instruments is just outrageous. $1499 for a made in Mexico Jaguar!? In no way do I mean that as a dig on foreign made instruments. But good holy hell! $2499 for a U.S. instrument is bonkers too.

Re: Fender Vintera II Leaked?
Yes, the Jaguars went up something like nice 400 euros. So I'm debating whether to get the first gen cheap or this one. All depends on the neck shape for me at the moment. Which I don't know diddly squid with the Vintera II Jaguar at the moment.
But the price bump is just silly.

I snagged a Vintera 1 JM in Olympic White for $768 on Friday. Free shipping. Felt it was worth it. My first JM. I dig it. Rosewood is nice but not $450 more nice.

As a Jag fanatic I certainly want a maple board B&B in my life… but I think I’ll wait until they hit the used market next year. £1249 is literally £50 less than I paid for my AV65 Jag and JM each.

I'll want to check out the Competition Burgundy Mustang!
Also curious to see if they fill out the rest of the series... I haven't been following that closely so maybe I missed it, but so far it looks like there are some obvious gaps, like a 60s JM and 60s Jaguar... Here's hoping we get some more colors and not just the same Vintera I colors with rosewood fretboards.
Vintera

Re: Fender Vintera II Leaked?
Here's my cunning plan...subject to change if my gearitis flares up (yet again)...

I love the '50s Jazzmaster in Desert Sand and yes, I already have the Squier 40th Anniversary in same finish with maple neck that's a keeper...but the heart wants what the heart wants. However, I have the feeling a "late '50s C-shape" neck is going to be on the thin side. I'll likely hold off for now and wait for Stratosphere to offer the bodies and I'll snag one and pair it up with a neck that I'll be happier with. If it turns out the neck is a more medium C, then I'll likely go for the whole guitar at some point.
I'm also loving the '70s Competition Mustang in Competition Burgundy. Again, the neck is likely going to be too slim for my taste. I'll try my best to hold off and see if Stratosphere sells the bodies down the line and then commission a Musikraft 24" (Jag) neck to my specs. Once I get that neck, I'll maybe send it off to one of our awesome refinishers here on OSG to pay for a matching headstock. Likely all of this will be pricier than just getting the whole guitar now but I'll be happier in the long run.
...that is, if I can behave myself and not give in to the temptation sooner than later.
Luckily, I've got to pay the balance for a commissioned head shell and 2x12 cab for my Bandmaster when it's ready either this month or the next.

My favorite is the Mustang in Orange. Looks and sounds great, and the price is reasonable. I saw a video of the Jag and wasn't too impressed, plus it is $1500 USD which is insane.

This is such a good series. They nailed the mustang. I even like the oversized racing stripes.
MIM Fender's are pretty amazing these days.

I forgot about this absolute beast, one of the first offsets I fell in love with on here in like 2014 or so

Do you still have it?

Re: Fender Vintera II Leaked?
All the big retailers in Japan seem to have listed the whole series up and the strats, teles and JMs are like around USD200-250 less than the American Pro II range that come with the nice moulded cases.
Am wondering if the rest of Fender stuff will get a significant bump in price soon or will the Vintera IIs be gradually discounted.
