Re: Bilt guitars??
Yeah, thank you guys.
The one I’m looking at is 3 Jag pickups in LS format. I ideally would like to get it turned into the typical 3 pickups and delay/fuzz Relevator. According to the website, though, starting prices for both models have around a $1,500 difference so it might not ever be something I can truly afford.

Re: Bilt guitars??
Anyone know if Bilt will build just a neck? I'm looking for the Marauder type 2 neck. Warmoth does the Starcaster, which is similar... But not quite. Or does anyone know of a custom neck builder who can? I may make a separate topic but figure I should ask here first.

I asked several years ago when I was working on a project, and they said they only build necks with their guitars, which makes sense.N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 3:21 pmAnyone know if Bilt will build just a neck? I was in the exact same boat as you Camping and I got the same answer as Gavanti from them.Gavanti wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 3:27 pmI asked several years ago when I was working on a project, and they said they only build necks with their guitars, which makes sense.N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 3:21 pmAnyone know if Bilt will build just a neck? Sorry, I should've clarified. I don't personally care for the color/material of the pickguard, but I like the shape of it.Kihtaristi wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 11:26 amI personally am not fan of the pickguard. I traded my Fano GF6 for this so it is not specced by me. The pickups are Curtis Novak gold foils.. There are only few Fender CS Marauder videos where they use these so they are quite rare and difficult to find any info.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 3:27 amThat is HOTKihtaristi wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:59 amThis one is mine
I'm actually thinking to have mine modded, but since I don't live in states, the shipping back and forth would be too expensive. I will probably have the changes made by some talented luthier here in Finland. I'm thinking of getting new pickups on this. Strongest contenders are now 2 or 3 TV jones style or other option would be 2 oe 3 P90s. Now the combination of things in this guitar makes this to be too close tonally feel wise to my Novo Serus J with Lollar Imperials.![]()
I love the guard instead of the metal plates (though I DO love the plates). It's very reminiscent of a P-Bass in my opinion. What are the pickups in it? They look like Roadhouse.

Then we are on the same page. I'm considering to change the pickguard if I swap to some pickups that don't fit with this guard. I'm thinking basic 3-ply white atm.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 10:32 pmSorry, I should've clarified. For that, I'd say mint or black. Or anodizedKihtaristi wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 1:00 amThen we are on the same page. Wowzers. That's giving me anxiety just looking at it. Way too many electronics for me. haha.
