Re: Black Bobbin Phantone
I wanted to post about these today but couldn‘t find another pic than the one from IG.
I really like the 50s meets Meteora look with the big pickguard.

They look decent enough. Ugly headstock though.

Thank god! We were crying out for another Jazzmaster variant.
Headstock is a big no for me - looks like a Smurfs hat.

They sure look perfect for some serious blues litigation. The headstock makes me yearn for the end of days.

Built a lot better, but it looks like something Eastwood would do.

Yeah, surprised they've stuck with the headstock shape for these, the Castedosa version is much nicer. Guess they wanted to keep the distinction. I could live with it though, looks better against this body shape than on their JM Custom.

Re: Black Bobbin Phantone
The trem plate on the green is much closer to the bridge than the sunburst right? Is it like a vintage/modern option?

Good eye! When I looked on the website, the black and lpb ones were serial numbers 2 and 3, so maybe the sunburst was a prototype/1. There's no option to specify trem placement as far as I can see.forestgreen wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 12:31 amThe trem plate on the green is much closer to the bridge than the sunburst right? Re: Black Bobbin Phantone
Turns out you were spot on. Shelby from black bobbin posted on the offset subreddit and that sunburst is a prototype. Sounds like regular models will ship with the trem plate nearer the bridge.welshywelsh wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 12:43 amGood eye! Re: Black Bobbin Phantone
I was looking for more info bc BB said it was on the site - I found nothing. I love the looks, but more than $1300-1500 for a JM-inspired variant causes me to instantly lose interest.
