Re: Show me the Green
Looks green on my screen at least... But I guess it might be a kind of close to that turquoise spectrum where blue and green are really close to each other and sometimes what one can see as a green might confusingly be classified as a blue.

Looks green to me, especially near the bottom
the sparkle masks the color a bit in certain lighting situations.

My girlfriend swears that this is blue but I’m convinced that it’s green!
Danelectro calls it “aqua sparkle” and according to the HSV color wheel aqua sits exactly between blue and green making us either both right or both wrong.
She’s a hair stylist and was impressed with my use of a color wheel to come to my final conclusion, haha.
What do you think?

Re: Show me the Green
I have never owned a green guitar but this thread is going to change that soon. I've always like the green double bound telecasters and would love a dark green sparkle JM with gold guard.

Lovely finish by the way!

Re: Show me the Green
I recently finished this one. My first glitter paint job and it was a learning process full of frustrations, but I suppose it turned out OK.
I'm still dialing it in, and I think I'll eventually go with some non-Jaguar pickups. The pickups currently in it are Fralins with a 10% overwind on the bridge. Even with that overwind, however, I still just don't love Jaguar bridge pickups. For me, they're a little anemic when not overwound, but when they're wound hotter they get a bit of a nasal tone I don't love. The neck pickup sounds lovely, though, as does the middle position. The gold standard, for me, is the Lollar mini humbuckers I have in my other Jaguar, but I don't want to have two Jags with the same pickups. I do have a set of GFS Surf 90s I might try in this one.

I LOVE IT! That shade of green is absolutely my favorite and with the matching headstock! If it was my Jag I'd put some Danelectro lipstick tubes into it. It's pretty close to my Dano VI posted up a bit.Tweedledee wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 6:49 amI recently finished this one. That is a breathtaking sparkle green! Well done.
I may have to steal the idea for my next guitar.

10/10! Absolutely gorgeous Marauder build. Love that strap too, I have a different one from that same maker.

What are the pickups in this? I've been looking for that color of pickup covers without having to buy a set of pickups (they only seem to come with 2 or 3 specific Fender pickup models).
