Love the Jag bass! I just picked one up a couple months ago and had my tech set it up and install a NOS Badass II bridge I've had on hand for over a decade now. What pickups did you install? I'm thinking about the Fralin split J's for mine.JSett wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 12:44 pmAfter selling the Les Paul I decided to make the move and buy a nice guitar rack. Handmade by a cabinet and guitar builder in Austria. Walnut and leather. This is now how I'm going to try and limit my collection. If it doesn't fit here or the one spare hanger I'm leaving up, I'm not buying it - or one has to go.
As of today's addition we have:
2022 AO60s Tele, BMM - Esquire conversion
2024 MIJ FSR Late 60s Jaguar, IBM
2008 MIJ JM66BB forever guitar, Inca Silver
1979 Guild S-60
2022 Yamaha FSX-5
2008 MIJ Jaguar bass, black

Good luck with the rack space based decision ! I have a basic black rack with 7 spaces but guitars keep spilling in the other rooms, I think now I have at least two that have to go.

I mean, there's one un-counted guitar in the living room, my Hello Kitty Strat. That's more decoration than anything these days

Yeah, I love mine. It has a Hipshot KickAss on it which made a great difference. Pickups are actually just some cheap MIC blades I think I got from eBay about a decade ago. They were about £15 for the pair and somehow sound AMAZING. They have a wild grind to the sound that I can't seem to better with other, more reputable, options!
I can't find them on eBay anymore but these are basically the ones. Looks like a pair is now a whopping £24

I finally reconnected the preamp section recently too....and then quickly remembered how much I didn't like it. Passive FTW

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
I have found chatter on the internet of people putting other units in there to improve things dramatically but I genuinely cant be fucked as it sounds perfect just as it is.

I spend 90% of the time in the series mode. It sounds good.

@ JSett:
Very nice guitar rack! Just be careful with dyed leather - usually not a problem, but I had a reaction with dyed leather straps on 2 of my nitro finished guitars. (Those instances were with dyed suede leather)

Indeed. I spoke to the guy who makes them and he assured me the leather used is nitro safe.

I've been offered a white one of those (S60-D) yesterday for £850. I'm tempted but I shouldn't really.

I’ve given up trying to sell some guitars & put them back into rotation. I’ve never known a life with more Gibson than Fender before

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
Pat, the real question is: when are we gonna see a FULL FAMILY shot? Like, every guitar you own?

Geez that's a tough one. Would need my wife to be outta the house for a couple days... I'm at around 60 now, I'm so fucking sick. She'd KILL me if she knew. She thinks its only around 40...

But I'll try to group em up yeah. Maybe open an own thread to show them little by little.
Geez I hate myself.
