Meh, I'm happy to be classed as that then. 1996-2002 Emo is my jam (mostly the screamier stuff though. Boys Life, early True North, etc but I can jam to some TBS, Jimmy Eat World or whatever)s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 11:26 am

That's 100% my wife's era and area preference. Jersey emo is her thing. Im a few years older so got into it circa 1996 so my tastes are slightly more aligned with the less poppy stuff.

From yesterday's rehearsal. Tried out the new pickups (60s modified) in the old MIJ JM and oh they didn't disappoint!

I just randomly stumbled upon this on Youtube: Culkin - Poser Outfit. It's my old band's only attempt at a proper music video, and I had completely forgotten it existed.
This was 12 years ago, but I feel like I've aged 25 years since then

Re: Post pics of yourselves and your offsets!!
Found this one today from about 7 years ago when I was notably younger and 25% skinnier
This was at a local festival where they put real grass turf indoors for it. This is great and a really unusual experience but it has the nasty side-effect of making the humidity rise to very uncomfortable levels as they hold it at peak summertime. We decided all three of us would go as tie-dye beach dorks.
We were a doom/noise/grunge band but we opened with a straight funk cover of Prince's "I Wanna be Your Lover" which actually went down a storm. Followed by 40 mins of eyewatering volume and big riffs.
It was a fun day

That was my Aztec Gold AV65 with my MIJ neck on it. Served me well for a while until I fixed up the other halves of each to put them back as nature intended.
