This might be the best song I've heard all year... or decade

The Malkmus tunes are some of the best Malkmus tunes ever. He's reached an accord between archness and sincerity that's just gorgeous. Kelly and Sweeney's tunes are heart breakers too.

This is completely reshaping my expectations for the trajectory of a musician's career. Apparently, you might not find your best band mates until late middle age.

Wig Out is super fun. But for me, it will always be Mirror Traffic. That's a desert island disc for me.
