It’s wider than a Boss pedal, but it has top jacks which could open up some room.
They aren’t too expensive for what they are, and that’s a classic bucket brigade chorus sound that can also cover flanger and some pitch modulation-vibrato. It’s not programmable but it has a simple interface.
That’s one I’m not familiar with for whatever reason. I’ll check it out.
The various PastFX pedals might be cool as well. Plus: lots of options and range of settings and weird Australian treats in the box ; minus: the punny names and graphics.
I just got the Hot for Flanger in the mail, which is a MXR-117 thing. It does flanger to chorus sounds well. (I’d had one before and it didn’t stick; this one may also not stick around. Close but the flavor is slightly off for my weirdly super particular flanger tastes; it doesn’t have the right “dark muffle” on the tone for me). They also do versions of the ADA flanger and more and people seem to love the Elastic Mattress (groan)
Speaking of puns, the Eventide Tricerachorus can do some flange and vibrato and weird stuff. I’m going to try some of the sounds in this video on my H9.
Yeah, the TC is not going to be my jam. A little too bright and steely sounding. I want that Johnny Marr throaty chorus into a breaking up amp thing.
Of all the things I’ve checked out the Jam Pedals Ripply Fall would fit the bill best sonically as it’s basically a CE-2 with an extra speed setting and a Phase 45 in one box. Making space on the board would be extremely tough though. Also kinda spendy, so maybe I could rope someone into building something similar with a smaller footprint.
I’m a little shy of the Tricerachorus as I tried a Black Hole once and didn’t get very far with figuring it out.
