S.I.B Echodrive
Hello OSG fellows. I have an old S.I.B Echodrive pedal, the red, 5 knob one, and am trying to gauge what it’s worth. I had a look around online and can’t find any for sale, they always seemed kind of rare-ish I guess.
Just wondering if anyone has an idea of how much they generally go for/what I could expect to get for it. Considering selling off a bunch of gear and curious as to whether I would get much for it.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi! I know this is an old post but have you sold your pedal yet or still thinking of selling it? I'd kill for one of these!

Noel Gallagher made them worth stupid money quite recently thanks to his appearance on That Pedal Show.

Tell me about it, my jaw was on the floor when I first noticed how much these things go for on the market. Were they always worth 100s of pounds or is it a pretty new thing?

Re: S.I.B Echodrive
I think they were always pretty pricey… $399 new (in 00s dollars) and seems like they got expensive soon after (TGP thread from 2007)
For gear inflation purposes, a used AVRI Jazzmaster was around $1000 at that time.
I remember being curious but not that curious.

They were hyped up for being a good delay back then. Now they’re hyped up as being the sound of oasis but just as a boost pedal lol.cestlamort wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 7:03 amI think they were always pretty pricey… $399 new (in 00s dollars) and seems like they got expensive soon after (TGP thread from 2007)

I always thought the sound of Oasis was some crappy Strat copy. Or Johnny Marr's Les Paul. Nothing in between.OffYourFace wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 8:46 amThey were hyped up for being a good delay back then. Yeah. I was just referring to the silliness of the specific gear chase. At least for the bands I don’t care about. Totally different for those I do care about, of course.OffYourFace wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 3:06 pmYes, I didn't mean literally but like, their live sound. I do enjoy that the supernova isn’t really the correct guitar (but a decent one).

Hi, yeah the pedal sold a little while ago I’m afraid. You’re right though, they do go for crazy money. I bought mine in the early 2000’s, I don’t even remember what I paid for it but it wasn’t anywhere close to what they’re listing for now.dreamerdreams_ wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 8:26 amHi! It is an amazing delay and really makes everything sound beautiful. When I was playing a lot I always used it but I just don’t get to play that often anymore and needed to money so it seemed silly to just leave it sat in a box doing nothing. Of course before I sold it I plugged it in to double check it was still working ok and it became really difficult to let it go.

Re: S.I.B Echodrive
I didn’t realise this is why they skyrocketed in price. I was never into Oasis or the whole britpop scene back then so have shown no interest in their gear. I can’t actually remember how I stumbled across it originally, I think it was just an interest in tube pedals around that time as I also had some of the EHX tube pedals as well at the time, the English Muff’n, Hot Tubes and the Wiggler.OffYourFace wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 8:32 pmNoel Gallagher made them worth stupid money quite recently thanks to his appearance on That Pedal Show.
