NEW DUO SONIC PORN!

As requested, here are some outdoor pics of the new CIC Duo in the sun. I won't get to any pics of the inside until my Jaguar is done and my '75 Tele is repaired. But I hope this will be enough to entertain anyone interested in one of these. I highly recommend it!

The board is 9.5" with medium-jumbo frets.  Not quite what I'm used to, but it's a nice change.

Hmmmm, I actually prefer a flatter radius, so 9.5 suits me fine... this is looking like a good candidate for some customisation. Of course they'll be at least double the price in shops here, but I might just try one of these out and see what I think of it in person. It looks like a fun guitar.

My thoughts exactly. It's a fun and surprisingly versatile little guitar, and will be a blast to tweak.

It's much more practical than the 22.5" scale original, cheaper, and can be modified without guilt... all with pretty much the same look.

I'll take a peek when I can.

I already know it's not like the original in that its a contoured body as opposed to the original slab. Like most of the import stuff... its not meant to be a reissue per se, but an interpretation of an era. So I wouldn't count on the routing being exactly the same, but who knows?

I love the look of the guitar...but did they actually LOOK at a REAL 50's Duo?

They were NOT offset. The pickup was closer to the bridge and the Guard was different. Knobs were placed differently, also.

That said, I want one!

There's a P-bass at my local shop with the same finish/guard combo.  Oh, the GAS, it is building!!!
