Vox Heritage AC30 Head - really handwired?

Post by OffYourFace » Mon Jun 16, 2008 7:41 pm

Has anyone played one of these?  Are they really handwired... for real?  ???  I played the AC15 combo version and it did sound really good.  I guess these AC30 heads are coming down in price...

Short answer: sorta, but not like the old ones.  Poke around here for the loooong answer:

Most folks seem extremely happy with quality and tone.  Talented 11 yr olds I guess.

Chinese kids can do an awful lot with just a few fingers these days.
I said no camels. That's five camels. Can't you count?

In fairness I'm sure Korg is not hiring 11 year olds to build Vox amps.  My biggest problem with manufacturers all moving to China is that one of the big reasons they go is the lack of environmental regulations.  Things are just cheaper to produce if you use dirty energy and can do what you want with your factory waste and emissions (Kind of like GB in the 1960's come to think of it).  China's pollution is going through the roof, which is everybody's problem.

I've played an AC15H and it is a killer amp though. :D

You know, you can worry about one aspect of their lives, but what are you gonna do about the others?  Kick her out of scrounging wire and she can't eat...  Or afford smokes...  Some things just suck...
