SCORE!! Here's what you do, you play it and keep it forever! they won't get cheaper and you will still make great money when u are arthritic and can't hold a guitar anymore, heck with inflation it will probably help pay for your meds late in life :)  LOL No way you sell a piece like that, well not if you play frequently. I would love to have one, I have a 76 twin reverb just because I haul it everywhere. The Super won't fit in my car :(    KEEP it  JMHO.

Now, if the tech could just give it back to me... I'm really getting impatient now.  >:(

I'll give him a call later today and see what's up... As soon as it's here, I'll post loads of pics, you guys have to see how clean that amp is!

A new reissue super reverb is designed to last until the day the warranty expires. Count your lucky stars you've acquired this unit  :-* and remember that thanksgiving doesn't only come once a year!!

Got the amp back today! It's fantastic! Can't wait to try it out at very high volume at my band's rehearsal place tomorrow!! Here at home, at low volume, the tone is perfect, IMO.

In the end, the original power tubes were really tired and replaced with new JJ tubes and the tech discovered that two of the speakers have been replaced in the past... for reconed older Fender units...  ???  I'll leave the speakers as-is for now and see how they sound...

..so the amp is not as mint as tought at first, but still an excellent deal and it's a beast that just waits to be gigged!! This will certainly be a keeper!

Pics (note the footswitch still in the plastic bag it came in - I'll take it out of there tomorrow):

Lovely!

Instead of opening the bag, you should try and pick up a new one, either a reissue and old used one for cheap.

Just got back from the rehearsal space with it..  Man, what an amp!!! The clarity, the definition of the tone is just unbelievable!  And it's crazy loud! I mean, it's really DAMN LOUD!

I love it!!!  8)  I'll play the heck out of this thing, I swear!

Looks amazing!  I wish my Twin looked that good.....In fact, I sort of wish my Twin was a Super.

How much does your Twin weighs? I just wonder if the Super is heavier or not... It's quite heavy for sure anyhow.  :-\

According to the "Fender Amp Field Guide", my Twin weighs 69lbs, and a Super weighs 86lbs.  I know my Twin weighs more than 69lbs, though.....

HEAVY amps....Heavy tone.  ;D :P

Ok, thanks!  That's what I thought. The Super is super heavy.

Any Twin I've ever picked up (BF/SF/RI) has always felt about 2X the weight of my '71 Super

The Fender website lists the Super reissue as weighing 65 pounds and the Twin reissue 64....  ???
