What happened?
Anyways, nice score.
I know how much you wanted one and you've been thinking about building one for a long time now.
Enjoy it.
:)
Thanks!

There was a '65 Jaguar that I kind of wanted, but in the end I decided that I just didn't need it. I still would have had to have sold this stuff to cover it and probably one of my other Jaguars too, so I decided against that. I adore my '94 LE blonde Jaguar, but it probably would have been the one I needed to sell to come up with the extra funds. So, based on my love for it, it will stay  :)

I was wanting to build a VI, but I already have two other projects in various states of completion, and I don't need a third  ;)

I'd post them tomorrow when I get it but my girlfriend just went out of town for the weekend and she took  the camera. I'm really excited for it. I wanted one when I first saw that they were making this run, but I beat around the bush and didn't. Then I was looking at Musicians Friend the other day and noticed that they had a belmished one for around $400 less than new, so I jumped on it. I just need to unload this other stuff to pay for it, then my mind will be at ease. First off, I think I am going to have to put a set of flats on it  :)

I wonder if you are getting the one I sent back to them, a few weeks back.

Here is link to a picture of the blem (reason why I sent it back!)

A side from the blem, it sounded, played, and looked great!!!!

So it was just a small crack in the corner of the joint? Half of the Fenders I own have one, so that should be fine. It would be really interesting if it is indeed the same one. I is probably pretty likely. I doubt that they could have had that many of them in the first place. I'll let you know tomorrow!

Thanks for the pics! It's beautiful! They did a really nice job with the sunbursts on these. I'm getting even more excited for it to get here!

Yeah, that was the only issue, but for the money, I wanted a perfect piece for my collection.  Those cracks tend to happen after years, but new out of the box kind of bummed me out.

I have pics with the serial number, so I will try to post some of them as well for you. (when I get home from work though!)

Here is another pic of the crack.  It was not major, but getting $400 off makes it better in the end.

Ah.

So YOU bought the blemished model on Musicians Friend?

A good score for you!

Thanks!

I actually saw it the other night and though, "damn, that's a pretty good price". Then I checked the next day and it was still there. That sealed the deal for me!

Man they did a nice job all the way around with these.  You should be excited, and you will dig it very much.

The burst is wonderful!

I own a Jaguar Baritone, and the VI blows it away.  The Bari is cool too, but the majesty of the VI,.... is incredible.  I am so glad to own one.

I wonder when MF is going to pull them off the site.  Fender says  "2006 only"......

I was wondering that too. They list them as out of stock right now and more due in April. So maybe that will be the last shipment of them, I'm guessing? It would be great if they sold well enough that they decided to continue making them for a bit longer.

Well........for my investment/collection  purposes, I hope they stick to what they said and honor the "Limited Release" selling point.    You know what I mean, the "Rare" factor.......
