Noise swash + 5 knobs fuzz. i prefer the N21 : smaller, easier, musical in all positions

maybe not with the volume at 0...  ;D

But, i mean that the N21 is more musical than the fuzz factory for example ( i tested the both), the fuzz factory sounds like a cheap diy circuit not built for guitar after tested the N21.

how long have you owned the Fuzz Factory for?

I only ask as I found it to be so interactive knobs-wise...that made it hard to get to grips with initially.

in the end, after loads of experimenting (and the list of settings that floats about on the net), I managed to create loads of amazing sounds...

what makes this Nitrogen pedal better exactly?

and what gear did you use when testing it against the Fuzz Factory?

The Fuzz Factory is a great pedal, just too plasticy and thin sounding. I'd find a sound I liked on it and then I would play at a louder volume and it was like "where's my sound? All I hear is a bee?".

Cool pedal but it was lacking in thickness on the more usable setting. Fun while it lasted though.

I have a fuzz factory since 4 years
in the end, after loads of experimenting (and the list of settings that floats about on the net), I managed to create loads of amazing sounds...
Yeah "amazing sounds" , but what about useable sound ?
what makes this Nitrogen pedal better exactly?
3 years warranty, hand made, lower price (compared with the fuzz factory in france!) , more controls, in fact i'm pretty sure that the nitrogen 21 is an improved fuzz factory.

1. VOLUME
2. TONE
3. GATE
4. TEXTURE (contour, shape, body)
Image
5. FUZZ (gain)
6. DURETE -> ths sound is more dry, projected forward
7. IN : level of the input signal, act different of the volume of your guitar!
8. DENSITE : "power of the sound"
and what gear did you use when testing it against the Fuzz Factory?
Marshall & fender amps + amp simulation + transistors amp
"where's my sound? All I hear is a bee?".
it's exactly the problem...

I found all sorts of usable sounds in the Fuzz Factory...that always depends on the music you're playing, like most effects of the "extreme sort"...I had two FFs for a total of a couple of years..ultimately Im more of a boost/overdrive kinda guy, so I sold them, and most other fuzzes I've owned.

the FF has lifetime warranty (which is better than three years), is also hand made, more knobs don't necessarily make a better pedal...interesting to hear that it might be an improved FF...have you got a schematic for it?

I hear all sorts of claims of improved pedals, or clones of pedals and I hardly ever see schematics, that's the only reason I ask..there's always so much hype involved in pedal building (especially on forums like Harmony Central, where I was a regular for years)

Price-wise in France, well, I live in the UK, so I'm in a similar situation, everything US made is more expensive (unless we're talking Pete Cornish)

The paintjob (which is a lot nicer on the FF) costs more to produce...if you like plainer looks, the Vexter is also available for pretty cheap - but then again you've made obvious you hate the FF
Marshall & fender amps + amp simulation + transistors amp
which amps in particular though? Were they decent amps? or were they practice amps?

I find pedals to sound best through real tube amps, and not amp simulation, or budget transistor amps, by the way, but your experience might be different...everyone has different styles and likes different sounds

...and regarding the "bee" sound, yeah, that's most fuzzes...I find all muscular fuzzes to disappear in the mix in a band situation...so I tend to avoid them nowadays

how does this new pedal sound with a full band (competing with another guitar included?)

i'm sure these are all great pedals, but i'd rather have 3 spearate fuzzes and be able to have different sounds by just engaging them instead of tweaking settings on just one box between songs. anything with more than 3 knobs overburdens my brain completely.
Nobody exists on purpose.
