Pedal building parts and suppliers (soldering tools, small p
I've got a bit of the build bug for some pedals and was looking for links and figured it might be helpful if we had a sticky topic. I'll start with the few sites I know of. Feel free to post feedback on the quality of kits and/or service as I know nothing about them other then what I've read here.
Kits:

Re: Pedl Parts and Kit suppliers
aside from pedalpartsplus I've been really happy with smallbear and effects connection..
http://www.smallbearelec.com/home.html
http://www.effectsconnection.com/oscommerce/
pedalpartsplus is great because they have painted enclosures and basic parts at very reasonable prices, same with effectsconnection as far as cheap prices on basic parts and unfinished enclosures, and smallbear has just about any internal part you need.. I've experienced great customer service from all three.
AMZ and Tonepad are very good places to find pcb's and general info on DIY projects.. I'm a bit frustrated with the process at the moment but that's due to my own rushing into too many projects before fully knowing the basics.. it can be a lot of fun when done right

Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

Re: Pedal Parts and Kit suppliers
for us europeans:
http://banzaimusic.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; have a few simple kits, and all the parts you would need to build your own pedals.
http://www.musikding.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; have several kits, all very cheap, and pretty decent. it's a bit of a gamble with the jacks though, sometimes you get good ones, sometimes you get crappy ones. they also sell parts separately.

Re: Pedal Parts and Kit suppliers
Small Bear and BYOC have been very good for me. No experience with the others.

Added http://www.olcircuits.com to the list of kit suppliers. Anyone built any of their stuff?

You also left mouser off the list of part suppliers
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

Heres a good link on how to finish an effect pedal in a day, and still achieve a professional finish.

Re: Pedal Parts and Kit suppliers
that's pretty sweet. i've built a few mic pre kits, never any pedals. anyone know where to find a kit for the mxr blue box? or maybe a stereo rotary emulator?

Re: Pedal Parts and Kit suppliers
Not a full kit, but tonepad has the PCB's, then you order the parts from one of the parts suppliers. There are also build reports at the bottom of the page.
