Oh, I want an Alesis Micron....

Wooo, these things look fun. I need a nice little keyboard synth, and this looks like a nicer version of the MicroKorg. Does anyone have any experience of them? The Sound On Sound review was super positive.

they're fun. pretty wild sounds. i think i prefer the microkorg but that might only be because of size. i've spent some hours annoying guitar center employees playing on the micron.

The Korg's mini keys piss me off, and I hate the vocoder mic. I like that the Micron has fullsize keys.

yeah, the little vocoder mic is annoying but you can just take it off and you can always use a better mic if you actually want to use the vocoder.

it's in the next price level up but i'm a fan of the korg r3. if i were in the market for such a thing, i'd be seriously considering it. has full size keys that you like. the knobs have displays telling you what they're controlling. nice little board.

I have a pretty good time with my Micron.  The nested menus are really the only thing that's a drag about it.

I saw a video of someone playing a really cool FM pad on a Micron, it sounded really cool. I don't think they MicroKorg can do FM, can it?
There is no problem so bad that you can't make it worse.

The R3 looks cool. Quite a lot of cheapo synths like this on the EvilBay at the moment. I may well pull the trigger soon...

Yeah, Maggie - the nested menus are the only thing that worry me, but I won't lose sleep. It just looks so fucken sexy as well. Just a little red and silver fat cuboid. The Korg looks like the bridge of the Enterprise, as does the Ion. I want simple and cute.

I love how it looks like the most expensive toy piano ever made.

I sort of want one of these, if only to be able to play the intro to Strawberry Fields: http://www.analoguehaven.com/manikin/memotron/

Are those lungs adjusted for inflation?
