Re: What's the most trustworthy guitar you've used?
I've had a few Teles that were rock solid and extremely dependable, but the king of the 100+ guitars I've owned over the years would be my '01 Hamer Korina Vector. An amazing guitar in every respect.

You tell her she looks wonderful but she'll just have to wait.

Man, that's getting some use out of a set. I usually change my strings monthly, just to keep them from sounding dead.Mad-Mike wrote: it never breaks strings, it can go almost a whole year without replacing them under heavy use and STILL not break them, even with all the whammy stuff I do.

As far as tuning-stability goes, I've only had my CS VI since November, but that seems to be the most reliable. Otherwise I'd have to say my first guitar, an Ibanez Les Paul copy is damn reliable. One time I dropped it onto a Big Muff sitting on a concrete floor, where the entire front face of the guitar slammed down all at once and it didn't have a scratch on it. Not to mention it was still in tune. ...And it always sounds amazing too. Geez, I really should play that guitar more often.

Mine......would never lie in court, but heaven help those that try to twist justice, at least the Jaguar and Jag-Stang would be pretty sadistic.StevenO wrote:My guitars would take it in the bum for me!!!Pumpkin wrote:zhivago wrote: none of my guitars would ever lie in court.

They look like copies of Les Pauls and Rickenbakers, but with improvements.
The Duesenberg name is kind of cool since the Duzenberg automobiles are probably some of the best cars ever built.
Thanks for the info on them.

these guitars come from Germany, and they're said to take the best of "both worlds" (aka fenson and gibder! lol).
the necks have fender scale and gibson profile, pickups are made in Germany : the neck one is based on the good old PAF and the bridge one is somewhat like a PAF with more output...
when we last recorded, I began with an old Vantage LP, my Jazz and a strat and then I switched to the Dues' (just like that) and the friend who was recording said "well, I erase all we've done, we remake all with THAT guitar".
in Europe, many guitarplayers sold their gibbies to buy Duesenbergs

I've played a couple of these in the local store, the Starplayer and their version of a hollowbody Gretsch, both very nice guitars.
