They look like fantastic guitars... wish i had onefenderjeff wrote:1946dodge wrote:fenderjeff, I never even knew these guitars existed!my Duesenberg Starplayer Special is by far the best guitar i've ever used, beatiful guitar, sounds great, nothing to upgrade on it, not so expensive... perfect!
They look like copies of Les Pauls and Rickenbakers, but with improvements.
The Duesenberg name is kind of cool since the Duzenberg automobiles are probably some of the best cars ever built.
Thanks for the info on them.
these guitars come from Germany, and they're said to take the best of "both worlds" (aka fenson and gibder! lol).
the necks have fender scale and gibson profile, pickups are made in Germany : the neck one is based on the good old PAF and the bridge one is somewhat like a PAF with more output...
when we last recorded, I began with an old Vantage LP, my Jazz and a strat and then I switched to the Dues' (just like that) and the friend who was recording said "well, I erase all we've done, we remake all with THAT guitar".
in Europe, many guitarplayers sold their gibbies to buy Duesenbergs

my most trustworthy guitar is probably my white strat, followed by my jag. the strat is super solid, and although mexican (a 2006), they have really improved, the neck is great, the pickups sound good, even the tuners are higher quality.

my most trustworthy guitar is probably my schecter s-1 elite it never goes out of tune and has a great sound to it and its comfortable. im actuality thinking of putting some kind of whammy bar (any suggestions? or is that even possible ha) on it or something because thats the only keeping it from being perfect im my opinion.

hey manwith2brains25,
just took a look at your guitar..and it doesnt look like putting a whammy bar on it is possible...
im willing to bet that there is some aftermarket modification you could do to it, like replacing the whole bridge system, but it probably isn't worth the hassle, especially since that could impact all the things that made the guitar trustworthy to you in the first place.

You could always install a stop tailpiece, but then you would lose the cool string-through body setup...That guitar is sweet! I'd leave it the way it is!manwith2brains25 wrote: ya i was just thinking that ha i asked this guitar tech guy my dad knows and he said that it would be possible but it would cost allot haha

Looks as though a bigbsy could be installed in there rather easily on that schecter. This is off-topic, though.

My 1974 Rickenbacker 4001FL (fretless) bass. I put it in its case then played it 9 (nine!) years and 3 house moves later; it was still in tune.
Gotta admit, I was impressed.
