My Jaguar HH

Post by 1946dodge » Fri Apr 20, 2007 8:58 pm

I have had this guitar for about a month now and have been playing it every day.
It just gets better and better. I think it is probably the best player I own and it sounds just great.
With a little overdrive and echo it is just wonderful.

I have never bought a guitar that was set up so well either - no buzz, no rattle, and it sounds absoulutely terrific unplugged.
It is the only guitar I have ever been able to say that about.

I would like the jaguar HH even more if it looked like this, JM/JG tailpice and black/white/black pickguard. So you actually would see the guard  ;) :)

It's so funny.  I want one, but  when I break it all down, I'd be better off ordering a standard CIJ from Ishi.  I want single coils, Jag trem, B&B, and a different color.  :-\

There is an HH at the local shop, and it's been there for a year.  They are a bunch of tools and put it on a "BLOWOUT SALE", which really means it's now at the same price you pay for a new one at Guitar Center.  I asked him if he'd make a deal, and he told me it was already  pretty much the deal of the century.  Ass clown.. >:(

I love my Jaguar Special (which is the correct model name, the "HH" is only the all black model that's sold outside Japan).

I bought mine from a guy in Japan through ebay. It's sunburst, and I put GFS double lipstick humbuckers in it. It has become my number one instrument nowadays, the one I automatically reach for. I have a partscaster for single-coil + whammy, so I wanted something different. Fixed bridge and buckers, along with the medium scale length, suits me well.

I used to think I hated the sound of humbuckers, but I discovered that I only hate overwound ceramic magnet humbuckers. The GFS are sweet to my ears (and cheap). They retain the clarity and sparkle of s/c lipsticks, but respond really well to overdrive and distortion, too.

To sum up: I am very happy with my Jag Special. Great guitars. CIJ is teh pwnage.

I totally have a chubby for one of these, but I'd go for tort guard and cream humbucker rings.

Freakin' sweet, dude.
