Re: sonic blue + tortoise guards?
Niceeeee- congrats!
But it looks kinda deep for sonic blue, doesn't it? If you asked me, i would say it was daphne.
And daphne looks great with tortoise IMO
what is the origin of this guitar?

Re: sonic blue + tortoise guards?
i bought it new last year.
in fact she stayed 2 years in the shop before i came.
the funny thing is the headstock (surf green!) (was near a neon tube)
the said "sonic blue" is really blue, but a friend's jagstang is the same sonic blue.
anyway, i tried the new "Classic Player ‘60s Stratocaster®" and the sonic blue is totally different.

so....
it's an AVRI? CIJ?
i am not surprised the blue is different on a Mexican Fender. these different hues of blue are pretty obvious.
but i have to tell you- it looks REAL good. you got a looker there

A little off the topic...but does anyone have a picture of an Ice Blue Metallic Offset with a Red tortise guard. I might want to try that.

I think all these metallic colours are hard to photograph...I think it's IBM, personally.Green angel wrote: IBM? I don't think so, Ocean turquoise for sure.
OTM has more green to it.

Re: sonic blue + tortoise guards?
Weird .. I'd expect OTM to be much more green and IBM to be much lighter ..

yeah, OTM changes a lot with the lighting - the photo on the fender site is WAY off though, it's practically LPB...

On an off-topic note, what kind of amp is that on the left with the channels jumpered? Bassman 10?zhivago wrote:![]()
Also, I haven't really experimented with jumpers between channels. What kind of effects are produced with that?
