This is pretty standard. Not much changes except for a volume pedal every now and then (for the lap steel).

That Hoof of yours is not going anywhere soon! I must say that I find it hard to turn it off and if I had the money I'd buy a second.

I don't blame ya, I've said it before, that particular Hoof has some special mojo, can't quite re-create it with my 4 knob, although it's still a very badass pedal. Glad it's in good hands 8)

More like setup of from now on rather than just the day...

(in retrospect, those aren't actually the settings I use, haha)

That Distortion II has a filter in it? Sweet! How does it sound?
There is no problem so bad that you can't make it worse.

It's a somewhat uncommon pedal compared to the regular old Distortion +. It's hardwired 120v like their analog delay.

The filter control is just a weird way of labeling treble/tone. The resonance control adds a kick somewhere in the 50-100hz range for a nice bottom boost that really seems to love dual 12" speakers. You have to be careful with that one though, as it can get real "woofy" and muddy if you go too high with it.

Overall, it sounds a little bit like a Distortion + but the sound is closer to an overdrive than the often buzzy high end grit of the D+. Plus you get the additional tone control and low resonance as an added bonus too. I love it. I mostly keep it below noon on the gain knob for a nice rich pushed sound.

New pedal day in the form of the Memory Boy, I got it in a sale for €80. My friend was buying a memory boy and a holy grail, so they gave him a Deluxe Memory Boy for the same price :-/

And man, I LOVE analogue delay. I knew it'd be different compared to my DD-6, but I didn't realise how different. The best bit is, I don't prefer either, I absolutely LOVE having both digital and analogue together :)

Also, I didn't realise how much of a crazy noise maker it'd be - square wave vibrato with the 'depth' all the way up and the 'blend' set to taste... MAN!! As soon as I started playing, my mind was racing with a ton of ideas for new sounds. I'm a very happy guitarist right now :)
