It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

That square shape that the wear has missed is odd, but very nice guitar.

There was probably a decal in that spot for a long time.

Thanks for for the nice comments.  There must have been some kind of decal or sticker near the arm wear location.  There is also a very light outline of a sticker having once been on the pickguard as well.  I'm really loving the contoured body, and I'm really liking the Lead Circuit Neck Pickup through my '64 Reverb Unit and '65 Vibro Champ. :?

Looks cool. I like how the bridge cover hides the Mustang bridge. If we're gonna use 'em, we won't be going around advertising it!  ;)

Looking at those photos again, I noticed the little note on the inside of the owner's manual that seems to be a quick note on how much the original owner paid for the guitar.  It looks like the final total was $563.00... adjusted to 2006 dollars, that would be $3582.65.  Not cheap - but then again, wasn't the Jaguar at the top of Fender's price list?

The Jaguar was the most expensive guitar in the Fender catalog until the Electric XII, if I am not mistaken. It looks like the original owner paid 430 USD give or take a few for the guitar itself, which would've been on the high side if the guitar was bought in 1964.
