My new Jag came in!!  I'm so excited.  It plays really well, with the exception of the skinny ass 9's on it! :-X :k
...Still think it needs a mint 'guard! 8)

edit: every time I see your JM I drool over that sunburst! I think that's the nicest one I've seen on a new guitar!

Great buy! I dunno if a mint guard will look right, as the saying goes 'red and green should never be seen except on an Irish Queen'.

I wouldnt change the gaurd either. That thing is golden as is.

Mint is *really* light green.

But I think the white looks pretty good too.

The mint looks awesome too.
Therefore you will need a JM with the mint guard to go with your white guard Jag and thus have three beauties.

I think it looks great as is. That metallic red is one of my favourite Fender colours. The guard is fine, and a mint one wouldn't look very different.

Is it brand new or slightly 2nd hand?

You, sir, are building up a fine collection of Fenders.

sweet! What color is it? it looks a bit duller that CAR. At least when you compare it with my CAR jazzmaster. Did Fender Japan change colors?
A pitty it doesn't has a matching headstock, that woulod habe made it look killer as far as I'm concered. How does de CIJ hold up in comparison with the AVRI JM?

congrats! that's a great looking guitar :)
i agree, a mint guard would be nice, and some aged pup covers too perhaps..?
btw, i'm really happy to see it has a non matching headstock, i'm not a fan of those...

yes, they replaced CAR with OCR (Old Candy apple Red) fairly recently, and also replaced LPB with OLB (Old Lake placid Blue). these "old" versions of the colors are a bit darker and less saturated.
