Re: who ended up with the jazzmaster with the galaxy painted on it?
its a shame pullover... you missed the spacerock glory days of the argo a small club over on fry st. that's now a coffee shop i believe... 1997 when every band had an offset, a pedal board a mile long and a musical style you had to be on A LOT of drugs to appreciate. it was fun while it lasted. now everybody's either moved away or is still in rehab.
the band i was referring to: litebrite highway would play one song per set and it was always at least 40 minutes long. the main guy had a couple early jazzmasters and a pedal board in a giant U shape (like a space ship!) that was loaded with every vintage effect under the sun. they were lubbock boys if i remember and were obviously around when you could still scour the pawnshops in the small texas towns and still find morley rotating wahs and leslie cabnets for 20 bucks... he could have rocked the hell out of a galaxy airbrushed jazz and made it make sense!
go to recycled books and records sometime and peruse the local cd section.. i'm sure they still have every mazinga phasor, sub oslo, and transona five record there...

I wish I could have been here during those days. Sounds like my type of scene, maybe it's time for a revival! The Argo became Uncommon Ground and they just tore it down!dain wrote: the argo a small club over on fry st. that's now a coffee shop i believe...
