Jags: very short scale?

howdy y'all

i have three 25.5" scale guitars and one 25.1" scale guitar,
the 25.1" guitar feels so much different even with that marginal difference,
i can definately notice the difference in the width of the frets, so......

Do you (owners of both) find it easy to switch between the JM and Jag?

i cant imagine being able to play a Jag at 24" and then take the jump back to 25.5" or vice versa!
when i can notice .4" difference on my own guitars

That was my problem with the Jag. I've got an AVRI, love the look and sound, but the neck and I don't get along. I'm so used to 25.5 even Gibsons feel weird to me. The 24 is noticeably short.

I personally have few problems switching between the 24 and 25.5" scales and honestly, even the 30" scale of the VI. I think it is something that you get used to over time.

  What guitar has a 25.1 scale?   
  I think it must have something to do with neck thicknesses myself.  Some 24 necks I feel right at home on and others just feel too small.  I played a RI Mustang at a local shop and liked it, so I went out and got a vintage Mustang and hated it.  In fact, if anyone's in the market for a 71 Mustang in sunburst, I'm going to be getting rid of it soon...

No problem here,although i don't use a 25.5 anymore but i used to use one and a jaguar and had no problem.

Only thing thats annoying is when ya run out of frets on a jazzmaster half way through a song.Its not a problem cause ya just bend the note but it creates hesitation at times.

Scale length changes don't bother me anymore, nor do most neck profiles or radius.  Playing bass, guitar, baritone guitar, 6 string, 12 string, short scale bass helps.  The more different stuff you play the more flexible you become.

No probs here!  I overbend a little with my CIJ Jag, but other than that.  I love the neck on that guitar soooo much!   :'( Makes me emotional...

I have a Strat and a Jag. They feel different, but it's not a big deal, and I don't really prefer one to the other in terms of being comfortable.

The reason I went for a Jag rather than a Jazzmaster is that I wanted the shorter scale - it's an intersting change, and I think that sort of thing expands your playing. I don't want to get stuck in a comfort zone, I want to broaden my possibilities. I think the so-called defects of the 24 inch scale are not defects, they're new opportunities.

I'm recently playing on my Jag a bit (just too lazy to get the JM out of the case), and it's been giving me a hard time
switching between short-/longscale since ages. Takes a day or two until my hands can remember where the intervals
are on the one as opposed to the other. That may have to do with that I don't look at the neck when I'm playing, mostly
I hang in front of the TV or look around. Also, chording on the shortscale is a bit of a problem (I haven't got very huge
hands but spiderleg-fingers). Especially with the A-size neck. I'm still waiting for an opportunity to switch the Jag for a
JM for that reason (though I really love it, because I've had it for so long, but mostly it just sits in the corner for the
above reasons).

I play tele and jag

I use them both for different sound, but I prefer Jag scale as it is easier to play.
I feel relaxed when I switch from Tele to Jag

I got one tele and a jag.
No problems to switch from my tele to the jaguar, when i switch back the only thing is that the tele neck feels much bigger.
But i don't have any trouble with that

I'm kind of like FUZZ_KING. I don't have much trouble with 24", 24.75", and 25.5" provided that I play one of each somewhat frequently. If I ignore one for a few weeks then it takes me a bit of playing time on the ignored one to get automatic again. My shortscale bass takes focus and concentration (you aren't playing a guitar, you aren't playing a guitar, ...) and probably always will as I just don't play bass enough.
