+1!
I like 'on vacation' also. It made me want to go sit in a hottub down in the keys for about a week... with headphones on...

Re: my little side project...
thanks guys!
from the lack of replies i thought everyone hated it, and didn´t want to hurt my feelings by saying anything about it...
most of this stuff is more experiments with sounds than it is exercises in song writing, so any opinions would be appreciated, even negative ones.

I'm liking the sounds a lot too - the player was going a bit weird on me, so I'll check it again later

RAWK!
I really like it
what's the effect on the vocals? How is it done?
actually, I've been getting up to speed with my own project...been doing rough demos, and tonight I made a myspace page, which eventually I can put some tunes in...hopefully in a couple of weeks

Re: my little side project...
thanks!
there´s a little bit of distortion on the vocals (i had to do something to get the volume up, i was singing extremely quiet to avoid disturbing the neighbors), and there are two separate tracks.
everything was recorded straight into my crappy soundcard. the overdrive/fuzz on the guitars were added digitally. the drums are Drumkit From Hell.
i have thought of doinga cover of this song for a long time, probably in every band i´ve been in, but nobody ever wanted to go along with my brilliant idea, so i just had to do it myself

I feel ya there, I started recording my Jazzblaster tracks for the same reason. I was the only one showing up to band practice.

I love it. Nice job!
I love playing that song, too. I met my current girlfriend when I was living in San Francisco. She knew I was from NJ, and the first time she was in my apt she picked up an acoustic and played "Dancing in the Dark." Gotta love it.
