Not having too much luck with the tuning. I think
I need to oil the wigsby. whenever I use the tremolo the strings don't spring back up to the same place. The tuners themselves are fine.

Thanks for getting back to us on that. Have you tried adjusting the spring tension screw? On another note, have you wired in the switches on the lower horn?

The former will give you more output and a brighter sound than the latter. The latter will give you less output and more pronounced low mids and bottom end. That's how most people perceive it anyway.
Okay. So I wired up the Jaguar using this diagram http://media.photobucket.com/image/jagu ... 1274387394
You were right about the output.
The upper rhythm circuit works and sounds great but the output of the lower main control has very low output. Almost dead sounding.
Should I replace the bottom pots with 1m pots?

I don't understand why it sounds like shit. Strats have 250k pots and 8k or so pickups, which sound fine.

I have not been able to find ANY stockist of Wigsbys, anywhere, although I was lucky to score a half-dozen on Ebay at less than half-price, from a USA vendor.

Additionally, Though I bought multiple Wigsbys on Ebay about 6weeks ago, now Ebay will not even allow the search term "Wigsby".

This is their practice in trade name violations. So now I tend to think they are out of production.

That thing looks great! Those wigsby's are pretty cool looking.
They don't advertise for killers in the newspaper. That was my profession. Ex-cop. Ex-blade runner. Ex-killer.

Think I'm gonna order one of these Wigsbys soon before they're gone. Any chance you'd share the dimensions of your little template for the route?

Are you sure the nut doesn't pinch the strings? That's a common source of tuning issues.

No. The nut is fine. It's a graphite nut.

Can anyone shed any light on the wiring situation?

Is there a better Jaguar diagram someone could recommend which has 2 vol and 1 tone?

Looks way cool! I think I might need to get myself a Wigsby for some project in the near future...

Congrats on your build!
