They don't have any of the whites either. So, I imagine Fender is behind on filling orders all around due to high demand............
I would have to think that the hegemony of gc/mf/music123 would be able to get advantageous supply from fender.
Then again, maybe they did...and they've moved all they've been given......and still have backorders......
Hang in there...it'll show..........

I'm pretty sure that's the case. My Sweetwater rep said that they send them out as soon as they get them, and the next two shipments are already spoken for.

Well I ordered the morning that mf had them up on their site 1/20 and customer service has told me that I was #1 on their list for metallic ko. So best case for me is that mf has not received their mk stock yet. Worst case is that I am getting passed over for other customers and probable case is that they are having some kind of manufacturing or parts supply problem
Honestly I am only fixed on this because of the shifting delivery date

To be honest, I've NEVER seen any Fender guitar or for that matter nearly any guitar promoted as heavily as this one to the guitar=playing community. So, demand has been really stimulated beyond their expectations as a result. In addition, they are using some custom components, like the boutique brand PUPS, that aren't mass produced. In addition, I think they want to keep quality control quite high on this one as this is what this model is all about. Also, quite honestly, they have really delivered the goods on this model big time so people are really pumped about getting it. All the press and reviews have been great. This adds up to a wait for all of you who have ordered. But, sounds like its worth it. If I liked the Jag tone I'd be all over it. But, alas, even after trying it and trying to like it (sound-wise) I came to the conclusion that it's really not my thing. Which is a shame because it truly is a beautiful and well-made axe.

Do you guys think this guitar will be available over the next few years?
Or is this a here today, gone tomorrow, get-them-while-you-can, soon to be cult-classic?

with fender being public now, i can't see a reason to pull it off the market and let the collectors make all the real money on them.

I imagine it'll be available as long as it sells. The J Mascis and Costello Jazzys didn't seem to stay on the market very long, but the Sonic Youth ones have been around for a few years now. So, who knows? I'm just glad Fender is offering more high-quality offsets.

There was one sitting at Long and Mcquade for a month and half and supposedly no one really touched it. I was the only person who was like HEY I KNOW THAT. I ended up going back and exchanging the Old Pine Telebration Tele I bought for it...amazing.
Johnny definitely put a lot of effort into improving as many aspects of the guitar as possible - success! Going to change out the chrome and white pick guard though...and maybe change the finish in the future.

Thanks guys! It's a really nice color. Looks great in person. I also got lucky and got an autographed booklet! It's an amazing guitar.
