Idea that didn't work out so well in practice

Post by Meshuggahnans » Wed Sep 12, 2007 6:49 am

Woke up this morning with an idea for a tsunami jazzmaster---super surf rock!  I thought it would look cool, but I fiddled with it for awhile and kept adding too much or too little, and ended up scrapping it-- but here are the results!

I think the idea is cool...  but personally I would make the wave go up, over and partially around the top of the  trem...

:)

The bottom of the guitar would be alot more blue, but I think it would look good that way!

I kind of like it too!
But if you want to make something similar with a real guitar, what would be the method ?
Print some thin stickers, then put it on the guitar, and then applying a clear coat ?

Does someone have an idea? ???

Would it be possible to get the print on the pick-guard as well so that it's not interrupted?

Nice Hokusai! Fantastic illustrator.

I'd agree with the big version, though the off-colour water dots look a little out of place against the fine line work of the artist on the JM colour.

Kind regards

i think it looks good on the computer, but wouldn't be as cool on an actual guitar.

yeah it would be possible - i remember reading an article in a guitar magazine a few years ago, about this £6000 fender strat with a decal of jimi hendrix's face plastered on it.. cant seem to find a pic now though. :-\.. hopefully they've all been burnt  :)

Oh, i have no idea how you'd do it...
