it's a super cheap line of strat-like guitars. they used to have swinger headstocks, but lately they've changed it to a CBS looking shape.

why they chose that name for them is beyond me...

Should be called Shitcaster, and ought to be omitted from the Fender website.

It  is what it is, a cheap copy of a copy of a copy of a strat.
I like the big headstock.

The only bad thing is Fender stupidly naming it the same as the real semiholow 70's Starcaster

I was in Costco tonight, and what should I stumble upon?  A Starcaster $trat...  It was plugged in, and waaaaay out of tune.  I tuned it best I could and tried it out. 

The bridge Humbucker was twice as hot as the other two single coils, but it didn't sound all that bad.  The neck was unfinished, and played like crap. 

BTW, the trussrod adjustment is at the headstock, but there is no plastic thing around it.  The headstock is matching, too.
