The good point is that the wood is alder, not agathis, like in the Tele Deluxe things they released years ago.

In fact, I have to admit that these guitars plays well (a old friend of mine had the P90 version), but, agathis really repulse me. I think these guitars would be awesome with an alder or ash body, because the agathis give them a "cheap" vibe, even if it's pretty nice to play..valley_parade wrote:FireBread wrote:The good point is that the wood is alder, not agathis, like in the Tele Deluxe things they released years ago.Dunno man, mine sounds pretty damn good. As do the P-90 versions that I've played.
+1 (except the sunburst)gutter rock wrote: In summary, sick of sunburst, sick of white pickguards, sick of strat parts on non-strat guitars, sick of guitars called jaguars that have very little chrome on them, TOTALLY SICK OF HUMBUCKER JAGS!
imho sunbursts are lame too. I would buy it in a heartbeat if came in white.WickedMe wrote:+1 (except the sunburst)gutter rock wrote: In summary, sick of sunburst, sick of white pickguards, sick of strat parts on non-strat guitars, sick of guitars called jaguars that have very little chrome on them, TOTALLY SICK OF HUMBUCKER JAGS!
Why? Agathis is good. Basswood's the tonewood that sucks. It sounds fine but god damn, it's soft.FireBread wrote:In fact, I have to admit that these guitars plays well (a old friend of mine had the P90 version), but, agathis really repulse me. I would totally do that with the Fiesta Red Jag. I don't know what the resulting name would be Teleguar? Jagcaster?blues-core wrote:Telemaster, 'nuff said.
Was planning to build one over the summer but now going to wait to see what the neck and body are like on the squire before I start
With the chrome of the bridge the strat jack doesn't look _too_ bad. Maybe a tele powerbridge and have 2 outputs (mags & piezo)
