The '67 SG Special could be a cool guitar. But don't forget, Gibson makes two not-at-all-well-advertised p-90 equipped SGs right now. The SG Classic is only available via GC/MF:

And an upcoming Gibson Guitar of the Week is a reissue of the 67 SG Special:

Both have stopbar tailpieces instead of wraparounds or vibrolas (which were the choice on the originals, I think), but they look to be cool; and modding to a wraparound requires about $30 and 30seconds and doesn't permanently alter the guitar at all. I own an SG Classic and it is a top notch guitar - it is very light and resonant and sounds and plays great.
For just a bit more $$ the 67 reissue comes with an HSC and has the batwing guard... mmm.... batwing.
That said, neither will be quite the same as a nice vintage one, of course.
